Good afternoon everyone!
I hope your child enjoyed their Halloween celebration at school. I know I enjoyed seeing all the wonderful costumes and the kids' excitement. Thank you for your support in keeping our classroom candy free.
HOMEWORK CALENDAR
Your child's October homework calendar is due on Monday. The November calendar was handed out Friday and should be put into the front of your child's back and forth book when you take out the October sheet.
WORD SORTS
Students were engaged and worked hard with their words this week. Thank you for your support at home. A new set of words and last week's test will be coming homeMonday. Please make sure your child brings their words to school each day as we work with them there as well.
BOOK FAIR
We will be previewing the book fair Monday afternoon. Be sure to drop by this week to check out the great deals and selection.
APPROPRIATE CLOTHING
As we head into cooler weather, please make sure your child has appropriate clothing to spend time outside since this active time is important for them. Students should have a warm jacket, hat, mitts or gloves and a change of footwear.
WEBSITE
I've created a class website. Right now it only has a few photos and a contact form, but over the course of the year, I hope to develop into a great resource for you. The site is not password protected, but is hard to search out and includes no identifying information. If at the start of the year, you chose not to have your child participate in outside media opportunities, your child's photo will not appear on the website unless you contact me to give approval. Use the link to check out the photos of the puzzle students completed this week.
