Hope you had a lovely spring break with your families.
Please return the signed envelopes this week.
CREATION STORY PERMISSION SLIP
Our class is being published! We have been working hard to produce and illustrated book of creation stories that will be published in a hardcover version and added to our classroom library. I will also be purchasing a copy to put in the school library.
In order for publication to occur, we need signed slips from all the parents. These slips are also order forms, but please do not feel any pressure to buy- your child will have access to a copy at school. Please check off the appropriate box, sign the slip and return to school by Thursday.
SWIM TO SURVIVE
Our first day of swimming is coming up on Wednesday. Children will need a swimsuit, a towel and a bagged lunch as we will be leaving before the hot lunch is served. I'll let you know the amount for the Grade 2s as soon as I know. I'm still missing a few forms- please make sure they are returned before Wednesday as children may not attend without a signed permission slip- phone calls and notes are not acceptable.
SECWEPEMEC MUSEUM FIELD TRIP
We will be visiting the museum on April 14. Permission slips will be sent home this week. Please return by April 11. Bagged lunches will be needed that day as well since we won't be at the school for lunch.
No word work this week.
Remind your children to bring any books they want recorded towards our 100 book goal so we can discuss them this week. Let's reach 100 books early and support books for needy kids!
All three overviews are available on the classroom website for your information.
Students have been using Google Drive at school to create documents (some have started slide shows as well). Google Drive can be accessed at home. Search it using your current browser (although Chrome is the most compatible) and then have your child log in. The username is usually email@example.com and the password is the same on they use to log into the school computers.
Tumblebooks allows children to read along while listening to books on their device. Tumblebooks can be accessed from the TNRD library homepage. Use your TNRD library card number to sign in.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
